Japanese Night '03.
>>
gThe Japanese Nighth was held for the second time at IUJ gymnasium on
May 31, 2003, Saturday hosted by Japanese students. The aim of this event
is to introduce Japanese culture to international students.
Although the
organizer was a Japanese student, UMEX teamed up with them as Japanese citizens.
UMEX members took charge of introducing KADO (Japanese flower arrangement), SADO
(tea ceremony), SYUJI (calligraphy), CHIGIRIE (Japanese paper graphic) and how
to dress KIMONO.
The gym was almost filled with many participants on that
day. Japanese cuisine such as SOBA was prepared for them.
When the performance was held on the stage as a main event, it really warmed
up even further.
The happiest thing for us was seeing many smiling international students enjoying Japanese culture.
We must say gThank youh to all the participants, numbering more than
last year, because we could not have achieved such great success without
their participation. See you next year we hope!
